MIT Staff and Students incredible effort for Pakistan Flood victims

Mr. Shesh Ghale, CEO of MIT handing cheque to Ms. Toni Aslett, Executive Director of Australian Red Cross.On Friday 24 September Mr. Shesh Ghale, CEO of Melbourne Institute of Technology handed over a Cheque to Ms. Toni Aslett, Executive Director of the Australian Red Cross.

Mr. Ghale applauded the efforts of the volunteers and staff who helped raise the much needed funds. He outlined the importance of the MIT community getting involved and making a difference to the world at large. He noted that one student volunteer collected an incredible amount in excess of $1,400. This shows the dedication and hard work that we can achieve.

Ms. Aslett further noted that this incredible achievement will go a long way in directly assisting the people of Pakistan. She reported that this disaster is unprecedented and one of the worst to ever be witnessed by the Red Cross volunteers on the ground in Pakistan.
