Quality Assurance
MIT is strongly committed to the highest standards of governance, teaching and learning, student support and student facilities. To that end the Institute has a well defined governance structure including an academic board and its standing committees, especially the teaching and learning committee. This committee regularly reviews feedback from students in relation to the quality of units taught and of the academic staff who teach the units. The Institute places great importance on providing its students with both educational and pastoral support. The information services provided to students is also under regular review to enable the provision of high quality services.
All aspects of quality assurance feed through the Institute's committees and academic board to inform the deliberations of the Institute's Risk Management Committee. This committee ultimately reports its findings and recommendations to the Institute's higher education governing council.
While regularly reviewing its performance internally, the Institute also takes part in reviews conducted by relevant professional bodies and state and federal regulatory bodies.
