Admission Requirements for MIT Courses

The minimum qualifications required for entry into Diploma courses are outlined below. Qualifications which are not listed can be assessed individually.

Australia Successful completion of Certificate IV or Year 12
Bangladesh Successful completion of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), or equivalent
China Successful completion of Senior Middle (Secondary) 3
Gulf Cooperation Council Countries Successful completion of General Secondary School Certificate, or Year 12 Equivalent
Hong Kong (SAR) 1 'A' level and 2 'AS' level passes in the HKALE
India Successful completion of Year 12 with average of 55%
Indonesia Successful completion of SMU III with average grade of 7.0
Malaysia STPM 4 E grade or above, or completion of Senior Middle 3 with 5 subjects graded E or above
Nepal Successful completion of Year 12, or Intermediate/Proficiency Certificate with 55%
Pakistan Successful completion of Intermediate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
Singapore 2 passes in GCE 'A' level
Thailand Successful completion of Matayom 6 with GPA of 2.5
Vietnam Successful completion of Year 12

 

English Proficiency Requirement for all MIT Courses

The medium of instruction at MIT is English. All our programs require an entry level of IELTS 5.5, or equivalent.Back to top

 

 

Admission Requirements for the University of Ballarat Courses @ MIT Melbourne Campus

Undergraduate Degree Programs

Students are assessed on the basis of Australian Year 12 or overseas equivalent school qualifications. Some courses require additional procedures Students with post school qualifications (e.g. Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas) may be considered for admission with advanced standing or credit (recognition of prior learning.).



Postgraduate Courses

Entry requirements can vary from course to course but generally require completion of a first degree from a recognised university with specified minimum grades (or marks) in relevant subjects. A period of work experience following graduation, may also be required for some professional courses.


English Language Proficiency - IELTS


A Band score of 6.0 with sub scores of at least 6.0 in reading and writing

Exceptions Students who can demonstrate one of the following may be deemed to meet the English language requirements:

English spoken as a first language

Secondary school studies completed in English with satisfactory pass in final year

Satisfactory completion of first year of tertiary studies taught and examined in EnglishBack to top
