I am a MIT Alumna, who flew miles from her homeland, India for an overseas experience (since I love exploring new places) and procured a Master of Networking at MIT. I am currently employed as a DAE Migration Specialist at Telstra. My vision for the Alumni is to act as a networking mechanism for graduates to find out about opportunities within their chosen industry and to catch-up with my fellow graduates.

Vice President

Melbourne Institute of Technology is one of the best institutes that I have studied in. The teachers are friendly and I had great classmates from different cultural backgrounds. The study program provides course material in a very comprehensive manner touching on all the relevant topics. I also like that our lecturers use real-life examples and the fact that the infrastructure is very useful. The skills I learnt during the program have helped me immensely in my career as a CRM manager at Three Sixty Property Group and now in Myer as a Senior Technical Analyst. It would be fair to say that without the course I studied, I wouldn’t have been given the opportunity to be doing the work I do today. I strongly recommend MIT’s undergraduate & postgraduate programs to all who aspire for a remarkable career. Studying at MIT was the best decision I have made in my education journey

Secretary

After completing my Bachelor degree in Business Accounting at MIT, I am honored and humbled to be selected as a Secretary of the Alumni Committee for 2018. I am extremely grateful to MIT for giving me a chance to be part of this committee. I believe giving is not all about money, it is about giving time as well and inspire others to do the same. This bear fruits in return and you gain great people skills, meet new people and expand your network. As a Secretary, I will try my best to make this experience fruitful and enjoyable.

I am Shirshak, born and raised in the land of Everest. I came to MIT to study Master of Engineering in Telecommunications. I did a 3 months internship at a Networking company just after completing 2 semesters at MIT. That led to a part time position and I was made a full time employee, immediately on completion of my studies at MIT. I am glad, I chose MIT for my further studies in Australia. As an alumnus, I look forward to help students in seeking internships and provide guidance to overseas students who are planning to come to Australia. As one of the Alumni Relations Officers, this platform provides me the opportunity to keep in touch with my classmates.

Deciding to come to MIT was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies at MIT in Telecommunication Engineering and IT. The teaching and admin staff in the departments are always available to assist with any needs. Most importantly, they will challenge you every day and help you grow to be a better engineer by the time you graduate. During my time at MIT, I had the opportunity to be a student representative and a member of the Teaching and Learning Committee. That helped me a lot to improve my employability and interpersonal skills. I will never forget my time at MIT and I made the best memories there. The vast hands-on learning experiences helped me to become adaptable and I still use it as a RF engineer in my current position.

Alumni Relations Officer
Pramod Phuyal | Class of 2017
Email: phuyalpramod15@yahoo.com

I am Pramod Phuyal, born and raised in the high and low lands of Nepal. From a young age, I always dreamt of completing an engineering degree overseas. This is why with sheer desire and determination, I graduated in a diploma of Electrical Engineering from RMIT and a Bachelor in Telecommunications from MIT with high distinction. I was then fortunate enough to find an internship position at a Telecom Company, which later resulted in full time work. I feel honored to be a part of the MIT Alumni committee and I would like to assist current students with all the experience I have from in and out of school and inspire them to reach the next level.

Alumni Relations Officer
Chaitali Pandya | Class of 2013

Coming from culturally rich land of India, I completed Masters of Professional Accounting with higher distinction at MIT in 2013. This gave me an opportunity to explore the Australian Accounting and Finance industry. Currently I am working as a Team Leader in the accounting domain. I look forward to opening doors and facilitating a networking forum which is a great way to catch up with fellow alumni, friends, staff members, stalwarts, lecturers and peers to reconnect and reminisce wonderful memories. I would like to bolster professional and social network, encouraging the alumni with an excellent platform to give back to MIT community by supporting and assisting the new students through their challenges and merging into Australian way of lifestyle.
