Graduate Diploma of Accounting
Overview
The Graduate Diploma of Accounting encompasses the first year of MIT’s Master of Professional Accounting. It provides an overview of the field of accounting, with specialised knowledge of computerised accounting, financial accounting, and management accounting. Students gain essential soft skills in business communication which employers are requesting as high priority. Students also gain knowledge and develop competencies and capabilities in other key areas of business, including at least three of the following: quantitative methods; management; marketing; economics and law.
With the Graduate Diploma of Accounting, we aim to provide a pathway for individuals who have already completed a Bachelors degree to gain commercially important professional skills in accounting and commerce. Through the course, students will gain skills in applying accounting practice to meet the demands of both small and large organizations.
