Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration in an area of Engineering that is related to Telecommunications or Networks or
- Applicants with a Bachelor degree of at least four years duration in an area of Engineering that is not related to Telecommunications or Networks or
- Applicants with a Graduate Diploma in an area of Engineering that is not related to Telecommunications or Networks or
- Applicants with a Graduate Diploma or Master’s degree in a field other than Engineering but related to Telecommunications or Networks or
- If the student does not meet the standard admission criteria, then each will be treated on a case by case basis.
Overseas applicants must have a qualification recognized by the Australian Government National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition [NOOSR] as equivalent to at least an Australian Bachelor degree.
English language requirements - International students
In addition to satisfying the entry requirements for Australian resident students or demonstrating equivalence, overseas students must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language being: International English Language Testing System-overall (IELTS) overall band score of 6.0 or equivalent. Overseas students who have completed their first degree in English or English as their first language will be exempt from the above language requirements.
Advanced Standing/Exemption
Those who have completed relevant studies elsewhere may be eligible for advanced standing or exemptions. Students applying for advanced standing on the basis of prior studies or completion of a Graduate Diploma or Master’s degree may be eligible for a credit transfer. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in a field other than Engineering are not eligible for credit transfer.
