The Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) Library acquires resources in appropriate formats and in sufficient quantity, depth and diversity to support teaching, study and scholarship of learning in the subject areas of the curriculum and the MIT mission to be the leading private higher education provider in Business, Information Technology and Engineering.
General collection comprises prescribed text books, recommended readings, subject related resources, English Language resources and DVDs which are available to borrow by all MIT students and staff.
Reserve collection holds 1 copy of all prescribed texts being studied. These books are only available for a loan period of 2 hours and are restricted to use within the library.
Teacher Reference collection has prescribed texts required as per Unit Descriptions available for loan to authorised academic staff.
Journal collection includes print journal issues which are available for loan. The library also provides access to Australian daily print newspapers such as The Age, Australian, Herald-Sun and the Australian Financial Review, which may be read in the library.
Electronic Resources are available in full-text via MIT Library Discovery. Please note students and staff will need to authenticate with their MIT account details prior to accessing these e-resources.
