Dr Jill Collis from Kingston University visits MIT

During April, MIT welcomed Dr Jill Collis, Senior Lecturer Department of Accounting and Finance, Kingston University, London as its foundation Visiting Fellow.
During the visit, Dr Collis made presentations to MIT staff and students in her specialist fields of international accounting standards and the financial reporting implications for small and medium enterprises (SME’s). Dr Collis also made presentations to staff Seminars at Victoria University, Monash University and the University of Ballarat.
Dr Collis also provided research advice to MIT staff during her visit and discussed research projects and teaching issues with senior MIT staff. MIT will be developing its links with Kingston University and discussions will continue regarding the development of benchmarking procedures to enhance the international reputation of MIT as a provider of the highest quality programs.
Dr Collis is planning to again visit MIT in 2010.
