MIT Privacy Policy

MIT is bound by the National Privacy Principles as set out in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.

Unless you give your written consent, we will not disclose your personal information to third parties, except Commonwealth and State agencies and the Fund Manager of ESOS fund, pursuant to obligations under the ESOS Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice.

The only information we hold about you is that which has a direct bearing upon your enrolment as a student of MIT, or its associated universities. This information is held in order that we may fulfil our obligations to you, and to the appropriate government agencies.

We will take all necessary precautions in order to ensure that your information is stored securely, and protected from unauthorised access. Upon request, MIT will provide you access to your personal information which we hold, except in certain prescribed circumstances.
