Student Oriented Service

At MIT Campus we are proud of our friendly personalized and efficient service, making students feel comfortable in a pleasant and caring atmosphere.

As many of our students come from overseas, particular attention is given to facilitating the transition from their own culture and education system to a very different one. Individual services include personal counselling, study support, airport reception and accommodation assistance.

Fast-track three-semester system with flexible study option

The three semesters in one year option enables students to fast-track their studies. This flexibility means that students can complete their university degree one year earlier than students studying in a conventional two- semester system.

Extra support classes

At MIT we understand that studying in a new environment, away from home, with new friends, and in a new system of learning can sometimes be difficult. These difficulties may adversely affect academic performance. In order to help students who are having difficulty coping with their studies, MIT provides additional study support through extra classes by our dedicated lecturers, on an individual basis, in such areas as communication skills, exam preparation, assignment preparation and enabling classes in programming subjects. This is at no extra cost.Back to top

Small class size and individual attention

We assist our students to succeed.

At MIT classes consist of small groups. This provides students with maximum opportunity for individual guidance by lecturers. Small class size encourages participation and develops student confidence. The result is a strong foundation for university study, with its emphasis on individual initiative. Mentors will monitor individual student's overall welfare and assist with their academic development, guiding them towards excellence in academic performance. This is a regular and ongoing process at MIT.  In addition, students finding difficulty in a particular subject can receive one-to-one tuition free of charge. Staff are concerned with the overall welfare of each student, not only with study-related matters.

Work Experience Program

MIT offers its students a unique program of work experience to assist them with preparing for the world of work.

The program covers knowledge, skills and attitudes which focuses on good work practices and ethics. These include  customer relations, time management, telephone skills, dress code,  prioritizing of work, how to work in a team , how to handle stress and preparation of job applications and resumes.

The program is offered part-time each semester and admittance to the program is by application.  It is offered in two parts,  an initial  preparation and training period followed by actual placement at MIT.  Work placement for up to one year can also be arranged at appropriate companies through MIT.

The program is extremely rewarding and each students receives a final assessment, a reference and a Certification on completion.

“Career development is the responsibility of the individual not the employer”

For most people, career development begins after graduation. At MIT, your career development begins from day-one. We believe that the most successful graduates are the ones that, despite the pressure of their studies, take a proactive approach to their career planning.

We work with our students to guide their individual career development. Our dedicated staff will provide you with a comprehensive service that will equip you with lifelong career development knowledge and skills. We offer career counseling, skill development workshops and information services throughout the academic year. The skills you develop while you are at MIT will be ‘skills for life' to be drawn upon throughout your entire career.

Best of all MITRA is a professional recruitment agency whose ultimate focus is on the placement and recruitment of our graduates. After graduation, we continue to offer assistance to our alumni to support their lifelong career and recruiting needs. We serve as a graduate link to industry, partnering with prospective employers to identify qualified candidates that meet specific recruiting objectives.

We believe that at MIT we have the programs and the support to help you realise your potential. Back to top
