The benefits of an Internship

Whilst most students carefully choose their course and study hard, often they forget that, to be successful, there is also an important need for them to have practical work experience. Students are encouraged to be involved in various work activities through their course and so gain valuable experience in the Australian work place.

When students are looking for work they will usually note that a majority of positions advertised require previous experience. What better way is there to demonstrate your experience but to show that you have taken part in an internship program with a reputable company?

Taking part in an internship program, either paid or unpaid, gives on the job training that helps pave the way to ongoing professional employment in satisfying roles, with a career path. They generally run for a fixed term, quite often during the summer break period, and commonly last for 6 to 8 weeks.
