To celebrate the start of Trimester 1, 2020, we will be running a BBQ at Flagstaff Gardens.

Valentine's Day!

Valentine's day is not far away. To help you tell that special someone how you feel, we thought of running a fun little activity.

Valentine's Day Confessions:

Want to let a loved one or a friend know that you are thinking of them? 
Is there a classmate you have a crush on but you're too shy to talk to?

If yes, this event is for you!

To participate, all you have to do is:

1 -  Go to Level 2M

2 -  Grab a pen and a paper and write your confession
3 - Place it inside an envelope with the postal address
4 - Hand it over to reception staff

Confessions are accepted from Today (9:00am-5:00pm) till Friday 14th February (Valentine's Day) 2:00pm.

We also invite you to come to Exhibition Hall (Level 2) on Friday 14th February at 1:00pm for some snacks.
Please note: Confessions will be checked by the MIT Student Experience Officers to ensure that they are appropriate before sending out.

Bushfire Appeal

The bushfire crisis continues. Australia is burning. Our thoughts are with the communities and individuals affected by the bushfires.

MIT is running a Bushfire Crisis Appeal to help raise money to support the emergency services, affected communities and our precious wildlife.

MIT Examination Workshop

The exam period can be a very challenging and stressful time. Therefore, MIT has organised an Examination Workshop to help you tackle the exams like a PRO! Come to this workshop to learn invaluable exam preparation strategies, including:

  • How to increase your chances of achieving your best exam marks
  • Important rules/regulations
  • How to handle stress

Date: Tuesday 14th January 2020 and a repeated session on Thursday 23rd January, 2020 
Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm 
Place: Room 227 (Level 2) 

Both workshops cover the same content, so you only need to register for one of the sessions. Limited spots available, so get in quick. T

MIT Late Orientation

This is compulsory for commencing students who did not attend Triemster 3, 2019 Orientation Week on Monday 4th November, 2019.  

To give you the best possible start to your higher education, one of the requirements of your student visa is that you attend the MIT Late Orientation scheduled for Wednesday 27th November at 5:30pm-7:30pm in Room 2.15 (Level 2). 

Attending your Late Orientation session will help your prepare for study, as you will receive important information about visa requirements, MIT's support services, course advice and academic skills development.

FREE RSA Training | Monday 5th August

Are you currently looking for PART-TIME work?

MIT is offering a FREE RSA (Responsible Services of Alchohol) certificate training to 10 lucky students. This course will help you to work in the hospitality industry.
