Emeritus Professor A. S. M. Sajeev retired in December 2020 after being the Executive Dean for Information Technology, Engineering and Business at Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT). He joined MIT in 2014 as the Director of Sydney Campus.
Qualifications
Emeritus Professor Sajeev has a PhD in Computer Science from Monash University, a MTech(Honours) in Computer Science from the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta and a BScEng (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from Cochin University, India.

Experience & Research
Prior to his appointment at MIT, Emeritus Professor Sajeev was a Professor and the Chair in Information Technology at the University of New England (UNE) from 2002 to 2014. While at UNE he has served in various leadership positions including as Head of School and Associate Dean (International & Entrepreneurial).
Emeritus Professor Sajeev’s academic career of over 30 years includes appointments in Australia at the University of Newcastle where he was the Head of the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering, at Monash University, and at James Cook University, and in New Zealand at Massey University. He has also held short-term visiting positions in the United States and Sweden.
Emeritus Professor Sajeev's research expertise in Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Distributed Systems and related areas was supported by industry and government research grants and has resulted in PhD graduates and extensive peer-reviewed research publications. He has been a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia since 2000 until his retirement in 2020.
