Bio
Mohtashim Baqar received his Ph.D. in Computing from Sunway University, Malaysia. His research focused on perceptual image quality assessment and deep learning-based image reconstruction. He also holds a Master of Electrical (Communication) Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication.
He is currently working as a Lecturer in the School of IT and Engineering (SITE) at the Melbourne Institute of Technology. Dr. Baqar has previously served at CQUniversity and Iqra University and has worked in industry as a Computer Vision Engineer. His work integrates academia with applied machine learning, AI, and networked systems.
His research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, cybersecurity, and Internet of Things (IoT).
