Dr Ioannis Korkos is a Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics at the Melbourne Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Finance and has previously taught at the University of New South Wales, London South Bank University, and the University of Essex. He has delivered courses across business analytics, finance, economics, and quantitative methods to diverse undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His research focuses on business analytics as well as theoretical and applied time-series econometrics, with applications in asset pricing and macro-finance.

His research lies in theoretical and applied time-series econometrics with empirical applications in economics and finance. Current work spans asset-price bubbles, commodities, market efficiency, and exchange rates, with extensions to monetary and macroprudential policy, big data, digital economics and finance, and AI in finance.
