Dr Maria Mullin is a distinguished multi-disciplinary academic, educator, consultant, and community development advocate with more than 30 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across reputable universities in Australia and internationally. Her extensive expertise spans management, marketing, human resource development, health services, and community development.
Maria began her professional career in the banking industry before transitioning into higher education and management consultancy. Throughout her career, she has served in senior leadership positions, including Chairperson and Department Head, where she played a pivotal role in pioneering an innovative private tertiary institution in Manila, Philippines. Her contributions included leading government accreditation processes for business programs, developing curricula, recruiting and supervising faculty members, and promoting academic excellence.
In addition to her academic leadership, Maria has provided international management consultancy services through projects associated with the Asian Development Bank and the Development Bank of the Philippines Service Corporation, an internationally recognised and accredited manpower organisation. Her consulting work has focused on organisational development, capacity building, and sustainable growth initiatives.
Beyond her professional achievements, Maria is deeply committed to community development. She has actively engaged with communities in both the Philippines and Victoria, Australia, designing and delivering livelihood training programs and values-formation seminar-workshops. Through these initiatives, she has empowered individuals and communities to become more self-reliant while fostering ethical leadership and social responsibility.
