Past and Current Achievements
- 1997–2000 – Honorary Consul General of Nepal in Victoria.
- 2013 – Nominated Ernst & Young Australian Entrepreneur of the Year.
- Oct 2013 – Elected President of NRNA (2013–2015); led 71 global chapters representing 4–5 million Nepali diaspora.
- May 2015 – Awarded Doctor of the University Honoris Causa for contributions to higher education, urban development, and Nepal.
- June 2015 – Appointed Special Envoy for Nepal Earthquake Reconstruction by Government of Nepal.
- Oct 2015 – Re-elected NRNA President (2015–2017).
- Nov 2015 – Appointed Goodwill Ambassador (2015–2017) by Nepal’s Ministry of Women & Social Services to advocate against domestic violence.
Shesh was born in Nepal and pursued his early tertiary education in the former USSR (1979–1986), earning a Master of Civil Engineering from Kharkov Automobile and Highway Institute under a Nepalese Government scholarship.
Upon returning to Nepal, he worked as a highway project engineer for the Transport Department. In 1990, he relocated to Melbourne to further his education and settle his family, later graduating with an MBA from Victoria University in 1994.
Shesh remains deeply involved in Melbourne’s business and commercial sectors and is passionately committed to the advancement of education.
