1997 to 2000 - served as Honorary Consul General of Nepal in Victoria.
2013 - Nominee of Ernst and Young, Australian Entrepreneur of the year in 2013
October 2013 - Elected as NRNA (Non Resident Nepali Association President) 2013 – 2015 – This association has 71 chapters globally representing 4 – 5 million Nepali global diaspora . Main objective of this organisation is to unite and bring Nepali residing overseas and utilize their potentials and resources for the prosperity of Nepal
May 2015 – Awarded the degree of Doctor of the University Honoris Causa in recognition of distinguished eminent service and contributions to Australian Higher Education, and to urban preservation and development, and to the people of Nepal.
June 2015 - Appointed as Special Envoy for Nepal Earthquake Reconstruction and Development. Government of Nepal
October 2015 – Re-elected as NRNA (Non Resident Nepali Association) President – 2015 – 2017
November 2015 – Appointed as "Goodwill Ambassador for the years 2015/17" (Male Leaders for Domestic Violence) with the Ministry of Children, Women and Social Services – Nepal - 2015-17
Shesh was born in Nepal and his initial tertiary education was in the former USSR from 1979 to 1986, graduating Master of Civil Engineering from Kharkov Automobile and Highway Institute. Shesh undertook his studies on a Nepalese Government scholarship and, on returning to Nepal, worked as a highway project engineer for the Nepalese Government Transport Department. Relocating to Melbourne in 1990 to undertake further studies and to settle his family in Australia, Shesh graduated from Victoria University in 1994 with a Master of Business Administration.
Shesh is actively involved in Melbourne’s business and commercial life and has a passionate commitment to education.
