We’re pleased to offer your student a place at Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Below is a step-by-step guide to help you manage the offer acceptance process on their behalf.
Step 1: Check the Offer Conditions
Review the ‘Special conditions of the offer’ section in the student’s Letter of Offer. Common conditions include:
- Certified or official copies of academic transcripts
- Completion letters or certificates
- English language test results
- Genuine Student (GS) requirement
If there are any outstanding conditions, please submit the required documents via the Agent Application Portal.
Once all conditions are satisfied, MIT will issue an unconditional offer.
Step 2: Satisfy the Genuine Student (GS) Requirement (if applicable)
If the offer includes a GS condition, please submit the following documents via the Agent Application Portal:
- Responses to the GS requirement questions
- Completed Genuine Student Test Form
- Supporting financial documents (if applicable)
The GS condition will be removed once the student satisfies the Genuine Student requirement.
Step 3: Complete the Acceptance Agreement
Once the student has an unconditional offer, assist them in completing and signing the Letter of Offer and Acceptance Agreement.
Please upload the signed agreement to the Agent Application Portal.
Step 4: Pay the Fee Deposit
After submitting the agreement, the student will need to pay the required deposit to secure their place at MIT.
Payment Processing Times:
Payments usually take 2–3 business days to clear. International payments may take longer.

- International telegraphic transfer:
- - Complete and submit the Telex Transfer Annexure Form – MIT Prospective Students to the bank.
- Credit card:
- - Complete the Credit Card Authorisation Form and submit it in person at the MIT Accounts Counter, Level 2, 288 La Trobe Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia.
- Bank draft:
- - Submit a copy of the bank draft along with the signed acceptance agreement.
- Sponsored students:
- - Submit a financial guarantee letter with the signed acceptance agreement.
Step 5: Receive the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
MIT will issue the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) once all offer conditions are satisfied and the payment has cleared.
The CoE is required for the student’s visa application.
Step 6: Apply for a Student Visa
Once the CoE is issued, assist your student in lodging their student visa application through the Department of Home Affairs website.
