Country to Coast series - Destination Sorrento!

Join us on a whirlwind day tour as we leave busy Melbourne behind to explore the beautiful and relaxing Victorian country towns of Queenscliff and Sorrento!

0845am – Meet n Greet beneath the clock at Southern Cross and Grab a quick coffee and a bite to eat as we get ready to start to travel ‘Around the Bay in a Day’.

09.10 am – We start our journey early at Southern Cross Station as we take a VLine train to our first destination stop of Geelong!

10.22 am – Arrive into Geelong.

10.36am – We then hit the road on PTV 56 Bus on our way to Queenscliff. We pass through the regional towns of Point Lonsdale and Ocean Grove.

11.44 am – We arrive into Queenscliff and then make our way to the Sea road Ferry* Terminal where we’ll get on board for a 12pm departure for a scenic 40 minute ride across Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento. You might be lucky enough to see a pod of Dolphins swimming out in the bay!!* (Ferry at your cost)

12.24 pm – Arrive into Sorrento. Take a breath and relax!

12.45pm – 2pm –We will stop off for a lazy lunch (which is included at NO COST) at the Continental Hotel.

2pm – 2.55pm - Lets go explore Sorrento and its village! Take in a bargain or head down to the foreshore to sneak in a couple of cheeky snaps and take in the views of Port Phillip Bay.

3.03pm - Lets hop on board the PTV 788 Bus as we make our way back up the coastline through the seaside towns of Rosebud, Dromana, Rye and Mount Martha to eventually arriving into Frankston at 4.39pm.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***

Your Cost – $25.20 (Which includes your Myki & Ferry fares) Lunch is FREE. All other costs ie coffees,souvenirs and the cost of Myki travel and ferry trip across the bay ($16) are at each participants expense)

IMPORTANT NOTE - Each student will have to ensure they have this amount added to their Myki card to cover the cost of the return train trip PRIOR to the day’s journey as we MUST leave right on time from Southern Cross station at 09.10am.

There will be a meeting via Zoom on Friday April 21st 2023 from 2pm -3pm to provide further details on the trip. Zoom details provided upon Eventbrite registration.
