Lunar New Year is one of the most celebrated festivals in East and Southeast Asia including Vietnamese, Korean, among others. It is celebrated many days in the Gregorian calendar’s New Year.

In 2024, Lunar New Year starts on 10 February. Chinese New Year (also known as Spring festival) is also observed on the same date this year in the Chinese lunisolar calendar. It is celebrated for 16 days and leads to celebration with lantern festival on the 24th February. Chinese New Year marks the transition between Chinese zodiac signs; this year is the Year of Dragon.
