We are excited to extend a warm invitation to all students, staff and academics of MIT to join us in celebrating International Women's Day with a special morning tea event.

This occasion provides us with a wonderful opportunity to honour the achievements, contributions, and resilience of women worldwide, while also fostering a sense of unity and support within our own diverse community. Please note, you don't have to be a woman to attend, let's honour women together! (We will focus on men later in the year)

Come and view our 'wall of honour', which will showcase the stories and pictures of the inspiring moments in the lives of women within our community. Everyone is invited to submit a short story (and an optional picture) via email or bring it along yourself on the day. Celebrate someone who has positively impacted your life! This could be a friend, a famous figure or a family member with whom you resonate.

Struggling to define your chosen person? When creating your short story, you can answer one of these points.

•  A moment where leadership or an achievement was accomplished. 
• A memory where courage or resilience was seen. 
• A memory big or small: an experience of personal strength, a milestone, a challenge or a moment of happiness and pride.
• A portrait of your chosen person, you’re welcome to include a photo or make an illustrative picture to be displayed alongside your story.
