The reaccreditation, valid from November 2026 to November 2029, follows a comprehensive assessment of MIT's workplace policies, systems and practices against White Ribbon Australia's accreditation standards.
White Ribbon Australia's Assessment Panel acknowledged the substantial progress MIT has made since its previous assessment, particularly in strengthening organisational governance, leadership commitment, staff engagement and workplace safety initiatives.
The Panel commended MIT's dedicated working group, improved referral pathways, increased awareness activities, leadership training, risk management and safety planning. These developments demonstrate MIT's ongoing efforts to embed a culture of equality, safety and respect throughout the organisation.
White Ribbon Australia also acknowledged the contributions of Patricia, Andrea, Effie, Austin, Ghan, Dhawa, Manoor, Hung, Ady and Marcelo, who played key roles in preparing the comprehensive evidence portfolio supporting the reaccreditation.
This achievement reinforces MIT's commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for its staff and students, and contributing to broader efforts to prevent violence against women.
