MIT Supports MOMO Fest 2026 through Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative
Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) is supporting MOMO Fest 2026 as part of its ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), reflecting its broader mission to contribute positively to the communities and societies in which it operates.
MIT recognises the importance of giving back to both local and global communities and believes that educational leadership and social responsibility can coexist, each strengthening the other. Through its CSR initiatives, MIT seeks to foster meaningful community engagement and support initiatives that deliver lasting social impact.
MOMO Fest, organised by Inhale Culture Celebrate Life Ltd (ICCL), is a not-for-profit cultural and culinary festival that celebrates diversity and brings communities together through shared experiences. The festival provides a platform for cultural exchange while supporting charitable initiatives aligned with community development and social good.
Supporting Community Through Partnership
As part of this initiative, MOMO Fest 2026 will provide a platform for voluntary donations for the MIT Group Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to relieving poverty and supporting disadvantaged communities in developing countries.
The Foundation delivers initiatives focused on improving access to education, supporting community development, and providing essential resources such as educational infrastructure, housing, and learning opportunities. This includes programs such as education scholarships supporting children and families in Nepal, as well as school infrastructure development projects in Kenya that provide safe and sustainable learning environments.
Funds contributed by attendees will be directed to the MIT Group Foundation to support these charitable activities and expand their reach and impact.
Transparency and Purpose
MIT’s involvement in MOMO Fest forms part of its CSR commitment to supporting community-led and philanthropic initiatives. This reflects MIT’s broader approach to building a strong social conscience across its organisation and contributing to communities both in Australia and internationally.
The festival and its associated fundraising activities are conducted independently, and all donations are made directly to the MIT Group Foundation.
Funds are administered by the Foundation in accordance with its charitable mission and governance framework, ensuring they are applied to programs that deliver measurable community benefit.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment between community organisations and the education sector to create positive and lasting outcomes beyond the classroom.
