Counselling

Counselling and Advocacy at MIT is a free, confidential and professional service for students. If you are facing difficulties that may affect your studies, or you just wish to have a chat about how you’re going, then the counselling service may be able to help. We encourage you to access our service before your studies become adversely affected. Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9.00 am - 5:00 pm. We also offer phone and Zoom sessions.

Our counsellors can help with a range of personal issues, including but not limited to:

  • Personal issues including relationships
  • General wellbeing
  • Stress, depression and anxiety
  • Home sickness and adjustment to change
  • Time management and procrastination
  • Motivation and study skills
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Advocacy support
  • Student feedback
  • Leave from studies applications
  • Withdrawal applications
  • Disability Support
