Work Integrated Learning at MIT
Work Integrated Learning is part of every MIT undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree. You’ll complete an industry-based project, using what you learn in your degree to develop solutions, strategies, plans or proposals.

Work Integrated Learning options
All MIT undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degrees include an industry-based project. Depending on your degree, you can also take part in an internship or workplace simulation while studying.

Industry-based projects
Work on a project related to your field, using what you learn in the classroom to develop solutions, strategies, plans or proposals.

Case studies
Explore a business, technology or community situation, analyse the available information and develop recommendations or proposed solutions.

Workplace simulations
Take part in a scenario designed to reflect professional work in your field, make decisions and develop an outcome.
