Disability Support

A disability is the consequence of an impairment that may be physical, cognitive, mental, sensory, emotional, developmental, or some combination of these. A disability may be present from birth, or occur during a person’s lifetime, be permanent or temporary. The severity of a permanent disability may also change over time (e.g.: increased loss of vision over time).

MIT offers disability support and makes reasonable adjustments for students with a disability undertaking study in line with the Institutes Equity and Diversity Policy and Procedure which can be accessed at:

https://www.mit.edu.au/about-us/governance/institute-rules-policies-and-plans/policies-procedures-and-guidelines/MITEquityAndDiversityPolicyAndProcedure

All adjustments are based on documented evidence of the students disability or medical condition and eligibility criteria applies.
