Time to celebrate

Orientation Day (O’ Day) is a celebration to kick-start your student life at MIT. It's a great opportunity for you to:

  • Know your campus, surroundings, staff members and take part in fun activities!
  • Meet your fellow peers and discover the range of MIT services available for you.
  • Obtain details of services provided by MIT, include career & alumni, counselling & advocacy, learning, administrative, academic, and much more supportive services that exclusively designed for you!
 
 

Essentials for the day

Please bring the following documents with you on the orientation day. If you fail to submit these documents, you may not be able to enrol.

You will require:

  • Proof of Australian citizenship (passport or citizenship certificate, or birth certificate)
  • Tax File Number (TFN), if you intend to apply for FEE-HELP
  • MIT offer letter (digital or hardcopy)
  • Copy of your visa if you are not an Australian citizen
  • If you do not have a USI, you may apply for one by following the "how-to guide" on usi.gov.au
 
 

What is FEE-HELP?

FEE-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme designed to help Australian students in tertiary education. It assists eligible students to pay all or part of their tuition fees. For further information, visit https://www.mit.edu.au/study-with-us/tuition-fees/fee-help

Study Now and Pay Later

Domestic students, who are Australian Citizens, Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holders or New Zealand Special Category Visa Holders* do not have to pay their tuition fee up-front. Eligible students can pay their fees via FEE-HELP (see above).

Students who do not meet FEE-HELP eligibility will be required to pay their tuition fee up-front. They can also access a payment plan to pay their tuition fees. For more info about the payment plan, please contact Admissions at 1800 648 669.

 
 

Defer your offer

If you wish to defer your studies, you must do so before the offer acceptance and enrolment date specified in your offer letter. You can defer up to 1 academic year. Please contact the Admissions Team via email at

Getting to your campus

Melbourne Campus

MIT Melbourne campus is located at the historical - Argus Building at 288 La Trobe Street, on the corner of Elizabeth and La Trobe Streets. Entrance is via the La Trobe Street side.

MIT Sydney

The MIT Sydney campus is located in Sydney’s Central Business District (CBD) next to Darling Harbour, one of the city’s largest shopping, food and entertainment precincts. Located right in the heart of the City on Sussex Street, easily accessible by train- we are a few minutes’ walk from Wynyard and Town Hall stations.
