Six must tune-in podcasts

Winter is here and in full force! Whilst Sydney-siders are enjoying the easing of restrictions, Melbournians are buckling down for a harder lockdown so it’s understandable if you’re getting antsy.

Instead of letting the current environment get you down, why don’t you layer up with blankets and a warm cup of coffee and tune in to some podcasts?

Podcasts are a great way to keep yourself motivated, learn about a variety of topics and enhance your English language skills – plus you can listen anywhere, anytime!

Here are three categories, with six podcasts you can listen too. From light and fun science conversations, sociology and cultural discourse to the informational but important mental health podcasts.

Some of the content in here is for mental health and if you are concerned or worried about what you have heard, please contact Lifeline at 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue at 1300 22 4636. The Counsellors at MIT are also here to support you. Email us at counsellor@mit.edu.au or call us so that we can talk and explore your difficulties, however big or small it seems.

Most episodes feature a special celebrity guest, who they force to watch an iconic (but awful) movie (think: Underworld, The Room or Little Italy). Then, they discuss the ridiculousness of said movie and try to figure out how it could have possible come to be.
