InSPIRE

InSPIRE contributes to improving students' outcomes by monitoring and identifying those who are either challenged or not motivated. This is done through active outreach to students identified by 'red flags' requiring early intervention. Pro-active additional support is then offered via each student's Personal Academic Student Advisor (PASA).

The program supports students' successful transition in their first year of study by having academics involved in additional academic support measures. InSPIRE closely facilitates academic and professional staff collaboration to provide holistic support.

MIT's InSPIRE program employs an evidence-based pedagogical approach that identifies where students are in their learning. Appropriate teaching strategies and interventions are then tailored to challenge each student. Their progress is monitored, which in turn evaluates teaching effectiveness to optimise students' learning.
