Before you enrol
You will enrol in your course online at the Academic Management System.
You would have created your USI at the time of your Orientation. If you haven't done so, you must create your USI before you continue. To learn about how to create your USI, click here
Now you have your USI you have reached your online enrolment stage. You will also need your:
- MIT Letter of Offer
- USI
Steps to enrol
- Pay your tuition fees as outlined in your Letter of Offer. You can contact MIT's Finance department at finance@mit.edu.au, if you have queries regarding to your Tuition Fees Payment.
- Log on to AMS with the supplied username and password. Your username and password will be emailed to you, prior to enrolment day.
- Update your USI in AMS by clicking on 'Update Your USI' button on your AMS dashboard.
- Click 'Online Enrolment' and complete your 'Enrolment Checklist'.
- Click 'Add Unit' and select the unit/s of study that you wish to enrol in and click 'Process enrolment'.
- You can download your personal study plan anytime by going to'My courses and units' and clicking 'Print Study Plan' link next to your course name.
- Once enrolled you can proceed to create your timetable. To do so, simply click on 'Create Timetable' link and select your desired timetable.

There are four critical dates you must keep in mind to manage your study program.
- The teaching period indicates when teaching occurs.
- The last self-enrol date is the final date you can enrol in or change subjects
- The census date is the last date you can withdraw from a subject, withdraw from your course, or apply for a leave of absence without remaining liable to pay fees for the subject.
- The last date to withdraw without fail is the final date you can withdraw from a subject without receiving a fail grade on your academic transcript and statements.
