Ready to hit the slopes and soak up the snow this winter? Just two hours from Melbourne, Lake Mountain is the closest snow resort to the city.

Once registered and have obtained an electronic Eventbrite E-Ticket you then pay $20 CASH deposit on Level 2 Finance. Please show your proof of registration. The days program -

09.45am – Meet n Greet at MIT Melbourne Campus on Level 2 Exhibition Hall.

10.00 am – We ditch our Myki cards and public transport this time as we board our very own private mini bus and set off out of the hustle and bustle of the city towards the east of Victoria as we travel through the eastern suburbs via Maroondah Hwy up to our very first country town stop of Healesville to catch our breath of clean country air and a stretch of legs as we grab a quick coffee.

11.30am – We then hit the road again on our way up to Marysville. We make a brief stop for a photo op at Maroondah Dam passing through Black Spur before arriving into Marysville just after 12 midday.

In Marysville we’ll grab some lunch (at your cost)… we’ll explore the town on foot and jump back in the coach arriving for another photo op at Steavensons Falls located just outside Marysville. Get your boots on it’s a 700 metre walk! Take a breath and relax!

1.30 pm – We leave Marysville behind and continue up the mountain arriving into Lake Mountain arriving in at around 2pm.

2pm – 3.30pm - Lets go explore Lake Mountain and the SNOW!

Toboggan Lake Mountain is famed for its snowboarding and skiing opportunities, but for something a little different you can toboggan down the slopes. The onsite Village Toboggan Run boasts a cover of snow for the entire season, giving you an extra dose of adrenalin as you explore the area.

Hit Up the Flying Fox The 240 metre Flying Fox will give you all the adrenaline you need. Hit the skies and fly over all the action going on below on this zip wire adventure, which provides a completely unique angle to see the surrounding scenery from.

Tube Run For an alternative to snowboarding and skiing, try the Lake Mountain tube run. It’s sure to get your blood pumping as you whizz down the 100 metre dry slope Tube Run. You can take in the incredible snow-covered views as you go, taking in the beautiful mountain scenery that flanks the run.

3.30pm Lets hop back on board our private mini coach as we make our way back to Melbourne arriving back into MIT around 6.30pm.

Cost to students - any Toboggan /clothing hire, coffees drinks/food, snacks (other than lunch) or additional activities.

Coach and entry to the mountain is FREE.
